Box 2690, Ada, Oklahoma 74821, has submitted a permit application to the Oklahoma Department of Mines (ODM) to mine Sand through the surface mining method on portions of the following parcels of land: A part of the SE/4 of NW/4 of SW/4 and part of the SW/4 of NE/4 of SW/4 of Section 4, Township 4 North, Range 6 East, Pontotoc County. The total permit area, containing 13.35 acres, is located in the Oklahoma U.S.G.S. quadrangle map. The permit site is located approximately 4 miles North of the town of Ada, Oklahoma and on the East side of State Highway 99/377. Little Sandy Creek meanders on the South side of the portion of the proposed permit area in a Westerly direction. A copy of this complete permit application is available for public inspection and copying at the Pontotoc County Courthouse in Ada, Oklahoma. Upon written request to the Oklahoma Department of Mines, information contained in the permit application may be inspected or copied at the Department of Mines.
