Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation d/b/a National Grid PURPOSE:REVISIONS TO PSC NO. 220 ELECTRICITY TARIFF RULE 46 - SUPPLY SERVICE CHARGES TEXT:Notice is hereby given that Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation d/b/a National Grid filed proposed revisions to Rule 46 - Supply Service Charges with the Public Service Commission. The revisions were approved on October 23, 2014 and will become effective October 29, 2014. The revisions will afford National Grid with more flexibility to better manage the electric supply price volatility resulting from the reconciliation of commodity costs to customers in Service Classification Nos. 1 - Residential and 2 - Non-Demand-Small General Service (commonly referred to as "Mass Market Customers"). The revisions will provide for the following: 1) an allocation of the costs or benefits of an enhanced supply portfolio hedging strategy by NYISO load zone, or combinations of zones; 2) a revision to the mass market adjustment component of the Electricity Supply Reconciliation Mechanism to allow for the reconciliation of variances between forecast and actual market prices by NYISO load zone; and 3) more flexibility in the timing of the reconciliation of electric supply related revenues and expenses for Mass Market Customers.
