Request tor Bids SELINSGROVE AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT MIDDLE SCHOOL ADDITION The Selinsgrove Area School District, will receive sealed proposals from bona fide contract bidders until 10:00 AM prevailing time Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the School District Administration office located at 401 North 18th Street, Selinsgrove, PA 17870 for the construction of a 4,043 Sq. Ft. addition. Bids for the following prime construction contractors shall be accepted: 1.General Construction. 2. Electrical Construction. 3. Plumbing Construction. 4. HVAC Construction. Bid envelope shall be sealed and clearly marked as to bid submitted with due date and time. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud immediately thereafter. Bona fide contract bidders may obtain bidding documents after 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 28, 2015 by contacting LeFevre Wilk Architects, 7 East Pine Street, Selinsgrove, PA 17870. Only complete sets of documents will be issued. Addendums, if any, will be issued to prime bidders only. 1. Non-Refundable Deposit: $25.00 per CD (electronic documents). 2. Non-Refundable Deposit: $100.00 per set for printed document upon special request. One week Lead time for all printed document requests and must be picked up from the Architect's office. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 10 percent of the bid amount. Bid security shall be in the form of a bid bond or certified check made payable to Selinsgrove Area School District. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a Performance Bond and Labor&Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of one-hundred percent of the Base Bid. The cost of these bonds shall be included as part of the base bid price. No individual sureties will be allowed. Surety must be licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A pre bid conference for all bidders will be at the Project Site on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Attendance is not mandatory, however, all bidders are encouraged to visit the project site, as this will be the only time the project site is available for visitation. This contract is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provision of the PA Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropriate minimum wage rates must be paid by the contractor in connection with performance of necessary work. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. Selinsgrove Area School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. OWNER.
