COOKE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE CREATION OF A REINVESTMENT ZONE Notice is given that on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., the Commissioners Court of Cooke County, Texas (“County”) at its public meeting shall hold a public hearing during the Cooke County Commissioners Court meeting, in the Commissioners’ Courtroom, First Floor, County Courthouse, 101 S. Dixon, Gainesville, Texas 76240 to consider a request by Muenster Wind Farm, LLC (or a subsidiary or affiliate thereof) for the designation of an area in Cooke County, Texas as a tax abatement reinvestment zone pursuant to Chapter 312 of the Texas Tax Code and other applicable legal authority. At the hearing, the County will receive information to determine, among other things, whether: (1) improvements sought within the proposed zone are feasible and practical and would be a benefit to the land to be included in the zone and to the County after the expiration of any tax abatement agreement; and (2) the proposed zone area would be reasonably likely as a result of the zone designation to contribute to the retention or expansion of primary employment or to attract major investment in the zone that would be a benefit to the property and that would contribute to the economic development of the County. The land area being considered for the zone designation, contains approximately 38,567 total acres, more or less, and is located in North West Cooke County, Texas, to be used for the construction of the Muenster Wind Farm. At the hearing, interested persons are entitled to speak and present evidence for or against the zone designation. Following the public hearing, the County Commissioners Court may consider at the public meeting the approval and designation of all or a part of the aforesaid land area as a tax abatement reinvestment zone. Notice of the aforesaid public meeting and hearing shall be given by the County in the manner required by law.
