PO-15-1973 (Published in the Friday edition of The Duncan Banner, March 13, 2015-1 time) CITY OF DUNCAN INVITATION TO BID March 9, 2015 The City of Duncan, Oklahoma will be accepting sealed bids until 2:00 p.m., April 6, 2015 for janitorial services for various City of Duncan facilities. All bids shall be sealed and clearly marked "Bids for Janitorial Services for City of Duncan be to Opened at 2:00 p.m. on April 6, 2015". Bids will be opened in a public meeting in the office of the Finance Director, 720 W. Willow, Duncan, Oklahoma at 2:00 p.m. April 6, 2015. Each facility shall be bid separately. The cleaning requirements as set forth herein must be complied with. Bidder is required to furnish a listing of all current customers with contact name and phone number. Bidder must also furnish a listing of all equipment which will be 'provided for each location. Only employees of the company awarded the contract for services may be in the facilities of the City of Duncan, OK after normal business hours: No individual under the age of sixteen (16) is allowed inside the facilities after hours. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a listing of employees, dates of birth, and social security numbers to the City of Duncan prior to being allowed to begin work. Any change of employees during the contract period must be reported to the City and any violation will be grounds for immediate termination of the contract for service. Due to Federal and State requirements all personal that have access to certain restricted areas of the Duncan Police Department must pass a criminal background check and be fingerprinted, this includes cleaning crews. Arrangements should be made through the Police Department to have employees screened. Failing to pass the background check will prevent an individual from performing work for the Duncan Police Department/City of Duncan. The City of Duncan also requires that any independent contractor doing work for the city be bonded and insured and provide a certificate of insurance for workers compensation. Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder who submits a responsive bid which is most advantageous to the City of Duncan, Oklahoma. However, the Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason. References should be attached to enable the City to check on quality of work of bidder.
