38MR LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE AND EXPLANATION OF A PROPOSED ACTION IN A WETLAND March 16th, 2015 To: All Interested Agencies, Groups, and Individuals: Ashtabula County has conducted an evaluation as required by Executive Order 11990 in accordance with HUD regulations at 24 CFR 55.20 to determine the potential affect that its activity in a wetland will have on the environment. The project being considered is the Flood & Drainage Austin and Hawley Rd, B-F-13-1AD-1 CDBG FY13 The storm sewer will be installed in an open ditch on the south side of SR 531 (AKA Lake Road E) from Austin Road to Hawley Drive. Once installed a multi-modal path will be installed on top of the storm sewer. Ashtabula County has determined that approval of the project will have no significant impact on the environment for the following reasons: 1. This project, as described, will result in only a small area of affected wetland (.10 ac) 2. This project will help control erosion of ditch banks of SR 531. 3. It will benefit public safety by installing a multimodal path, where there currently is none. Any interested person, agency, or group wishing to comment on the project may submit written comments for consideration to Ashtabula County at the following address by 5:00 p. m. on March 24th, 2015, which is at least 7 days after the publication of this notice.
