Lenora Evadene Lilly, 78, of Mechanicsville, MD peacefully passed away with her family by her bedside, on March 11, 2015 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bernard Donald Lilly; children, Donald Lilly and his wife, Marianne Talbot, Pamela (Lilly) Best and her husband, Harvey Best, and Karen (Lilly) Keffer; brother, Paul Keffer; sisters, Bertie Dolinger, Gladys Shuck, and Charlotte Patton; grandchildren, Melissa Buckler, Nicholas Talbot-Lilly and Norah Talbot-Lilly; and numerous nieces and nephews. After hearing of his beloved sister's passing, Bob Keffer peacefully passed away the following day, March 12, 2015. Lenora, one of 15 children, was born on January 17, 1937 in Whitby, WV to the late William Earl and Laura Cadel Keffer. During her high school years, Lenora excelled in softball and was on the varsity basketball team at Stoco Senior High School. Upon graduation, Lenora lived and worked in New York City, Roanoke, VA, and later settled in West Lanham Hills, MD where she and Bernard raised their three children. Her life's passion was raising her children and granddaughter and being a loving homemaker. The last 40 years of Lenora's life was spent with her family in St. Mary's County, MD. Dear Mom, we miss you and love you. In addition to her parents, Lenora was predeceased by her grandson, Charles Frederick Burroughs and 9 of her siblings.
