____________________________________ LEGAL NOTICE ____________________________________ SPECIAL ELECTION PROCLAMATION By virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the State of Oklahoma, and the provisions of Ordinance Number 22-104(6) , duly passed by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Roff, Oklahoma, on the 2nd day of December , 20 13, public notice is hereby given that a special election is hereby called, ordered and proclaimed to be held in said Town of Roff, Oklahoma, on the 4th day of March , 20 14 for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors residing within the corporate limits of Roff, Oklahoma, the following proposition, to wit: "Shall a franchise be granted to the Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company, a corporation, its successors and assigns giving it the right to produce, transmit and distribute electricity within the Town and to sell electricity therein for all purposes for which it may be used, to the Town, its inhabitants and the public generally, and the right to construct, maintain and operate a system of poles, wires, conduits and other facilities and equipment in, upon, across, under and over the streets, alleys, public grounds or ways in the Town for such purposes, for a period of twenty-five (25) years; providing compensation to the Town; in accordance with the terms of Ordinance Number 22-104(6) , passed and approved by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Roff, Oklahoma, on the 2nd day of December , 20 13?" The ballot to be used at said election shall be substantially as follows: "Shall a franchise be granted to the Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company, a corporation, its successors and assigns giving it the right to produce, transmit and distribute electricity within the Town and to sell electricity therein for all purposes for which it may be used, to the Town, its inhabitants and the public generally, and the right to construct, maintain and operate a system of poles, wires, conduits and other facilities and equipment in, upon, across, under and over the streets, alleys, public grounds or ways in the Town for such purposes, for a period of twenty-five (25) years; providing compensation to the Town; in accordance with the terms of Ordinance Number 22-104(6) , passed and approved by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Roff, Oklahoma, on the 2nd day of December , 20 13?" FOR THE PROPOSITION - YES AGAINST THE PROPOSITION - NO The polls for said election shall be opened at 7:00 a.m. and shall remain open until 7:00 p.m. on said 4th day of March , 20 14. The results of said election shall be returned to and canvassed by the County Election Board of the County of Pontotoc, State of Oklahoma, pursuant to the laws of the State of Oklahoma in such cases made and provided.
