____________________________________ LEGAL NOTICE ____________________________________ NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS The Pontotoc County RWD No.8 will receive sealed bids for rehabilitation of existing Fitzhugh tank at the Pontotoc County RWD No. 8 main office at 13992 County Road 1555 (P.O. Box 127), Ada, OK 74820 until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014 at which time they will be opened and readread aloud, to wit: Item No. 1 Estimated Quantity 1 Units L.S. Description REHAB OF EXISTING FITZHUGH TANK 14 X 100-3 A certified check, cashiers check or bid bond equal to 5 percent (5%) of the total amount bid shall be attached to all bids as a guarantee that the successful bidder will, within ten (10) days of the date of notice of award, enter into contract and file the required bonds. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Checks of unsuccessful bidders shall be returned to them in accordance with the terms of the bid solicitation. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any irregularities or technicalities without assigning any reason therefore, and to make the awards in the best interest of the Owner. Bids are solicited and a contract award will be made pursuant to the Public Competitive Bidding Act of 1974 as amended (Title 61, O.S. 1981, Sections 101-136 et seq.) Specifications are on file in the office of the Engineer, Myers Engineering, Consulting Engineers, Inc., 13911 Quail Pointe Dr. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73134, Phone (405) 755-5325, and are available upon a nonrefundable payment of $75.00 for each bound set and are also available electronically upon a nonrefundable payment of $25.00. Contractor will be issued a username and password to retrieve the Specifications upon payment. Contractor must obtain plans and specifications from the office of the Engineer and be registered on the Engineers bid list to be recognized as an eligible bidder for this project. Bids shall be made in accordance with the Notice to Contractors, Specifications and Bidders Proposal, which are on file and available for examination at the offices of Pontotoc County RWD No. 8 and are made a part of this notice as though fully set forth herein. Any bid received by Pontotoc County RWD No. 8 or an officer or employee thereof, more than ninety-six (96) hours, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, before the time set for the opening of bids, or any bid so received after the time set for opening of bids, shall not be considered by the awarding public agency and shall be returned unopened to the bidder submitting same. Offerors are responsible for submitting proposals, and any modifications or revisions, so as to reach the office designated in the solicitation by the time specified in herein. Any proposal, modification, or revision received at the office designated in the solicitation after the exact time specified for receipt of offers is late and will not be considered.
