____________________________________ LEGAL NOTICE ____________________________________ INVITATION TO BID BID PLACE: Chickasaw Nation Department of Community Services 111 Rosedale Road, Ada, OK 74820 THE CHICKASAW NATION DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY SERVICES, A DEPARTMENT OF THE CHICKASAW NATION, WILL RECEIVE BIDS FOR BUILDING AND INSTALLING KITCHEN CABINET UNITS, BATHROOM VANITIES, AND LINEN CLOSETS FOR 21 UNITS AND THE COMMUNITY BUILDING AT 47-36 MARIE BAILEY IN ADA, OKLAHOMA AND 6 UNITS AT 47-11 HENRY PRATT IN MARIETTA, OKLAHOMA UNTIL 3:00 PM SEPTEMBER 16, 2014. SPECIFICATIONS, TOGETHER WITH ALL NECESSARY FORM DOCUMENTS FOR QUALIFIED CONTRACTORS MAY BE SECURED FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY SERIVCES BY CALLING THE PURCHASING DEPT. AT (580) 421-8800, EXT. 8875. EACH BIDDER SHALL COMPLETE THE FORM OF NON-COLLUSIVE AFFIDAVIT, AND SUBMIT IT IN THE BID PACKAGE. THE OTHER DOCUMENTS (EQUAL EMPLOYMENT, SECTION 3. CLAUSE, EXECUTIVE ORDER 11246, NON-SEGREGATED FACILITIES, FORM OF CONTRACT) WILL REQUIRE ANSWERS AND DOCUMENTATION IF YOU (CONTRACTOR) IN FACT, ARE THE ACCEPTED BIDDER ON THE PROJECT. ANY ADDENDA ISSUED DURING THE TIME OF BIDDING ARE TO BE COVERED IN THE BID AND IN CLOSING A CONTRACT; THEY WILL BECOME A PART THEREOF. PREVAILING DAVIS-BACON WAGE RATES WILL APPLY. EACH BIDDER SHALL BE AWARE THAT BIDS WILL BE RECEIVED FROM INDIAN AND NON-INDIAN CONTRACTORS AND PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO THOSE RECEIVED FROM INDIAN CONTRACTORS. QUALIFICATION FOR EACH PREFERENCE SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE AUTHORITY AND BASED ON RECEIPT OF ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS SUBMITTED WITH OR PRIOR TO THE BID. CONTACT THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY SERVICES FOR DETAILED REQUIREMENTS. CONTRACTORS WILL BE REQUIRED TO IMPLEMENT INDIAN PREFERENCE IN SUBCONTRACTING, BUYING MATERIALS, SERVICES, AND HIRING OF EMPLOYEES AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 805.204 OF THE HUD INDIAN HOUSING REGULATIONS. THE COMPETENCY AND RESPONSIBILITY OF BIDDERS WILL BE CONSIDERED IN AWARDING THE CONTRACT, AND THE OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY OR ALL BIDS AND WAIVE IRREGULARITY IN BIDDING. THE CONTRACT WILL BE REASONABLE, AND IF IT IS IN THE INTEREST OF THE NATION TO ACCEPT IT.
