Advertisement and Invitation for Bids The City of Emhouse will receive bids for TxCDBG Project No 712101, Pump Station Improvements until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 1720 South US Highway 287, Corsicana, TX 75110. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 1720 South US Highway 287, Corsicana, TX 75110. Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: Rehab of existing Ground Storage Tank, including leveling, sandblasting and painting, new external fill line and suction line connections; removal and replacement of segments of yard piping and gate valves; and rehab of existing pump building including, relocation of pumps, -val, piping, and new electrical. Alternate bids for a new high service pump, and sandblasting of an existing hydropneumatic tank will also be solicited. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications are on file at Schaumburg & Polk, Inc., 320 S. Broadway Ave, Suite 200, Tyler, Texas 75702. Copies of the Bid/Contract Documents may be obtained for a non-refundable deposit of seventy five dollars ($75.00) with Schaumburg & Polk, Inc. for each set of documents obtained. Copies can also be obtained on www.isqft.com or www.civcastusa.com. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Emhouse or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin. The City of Emhouse reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
