BEFORE THE FLOODPLAIN BOARD OF PITTSBURG COUNTY IN THE MATTER of Adoption of Resolution No. 15-001 Floodplain Board Regulations RESOLUTION WHEREAS, certain areas within the unincorporated areas of Pittsburg County, Oklahoma, are subject to periodic flooding from rivers and streams causing serious damage to properties within these areas; and, WHEREAS, relief is available in the form of federally subsidized flood insurance as authorized by the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 upon participation by Pittsburg County in the National Flood Insurance Program; and, WHEREAS, the Pittsburg County Floodplain Board is authorized to adopt, administer, and enforce floodplain management regulations to reduce flood losses pursuant to 82 O. S., §§ 1601-1618, as amended. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Floodplain Board of Pittsburg County, Oklahoma, hereby adopts and enacts the Floodplain Board Regulations as set forth in the attachment hereto.
